TEA Overview
Tacoma Education Association
The purpose of the Tacoma Education Association (TEA) is to promote public education and student learning by providing services and mutual protection for members through representation in bargaining, grievances, and in all matters relating to terms and conditions of employment with the Tacoma School District.
In addition to approximately 2,200 certificated employees, TEA supports three chapters including:
- Tacoma Association of Educational Office Professionals (TAEOP);
- Tacoma Association of Public School Professional and Technical Employees (TAPSPTE); and,
- Tacoma Coaches and Extra-Curricular Leaders Association (TC&ECLA).
